Présentation de la démarche

The approach

The Entretiens Albert-Kahn (Albert-Kahn Talks) were set up in October 2012 as a result of the departmental president will to encourage high-level forward-looking and thinking on the major issues facing society within the local authority. The aim of each meeting is to define the impact in terms of governance and implementation within the administration.

The Entretiens are devoted to :

  •  Megatrends and their potential impacts on the Hauts-de-Seine territory (West of Paris),
  • Emerging trends in society and their impact on public policy,
  • Innovative actions within the administration, in the Hauts-de-Seine territory, in France or in Europe that can inspire new practices,
  • Methods and approaches linked to the practice of territorial foresight and managerial innovation.

The meetings seek to break down barriers between audiences in order to broaden the debate. Elected representatives, administrators, partners and civil society are invited to attend.

Each meeting is followed by a Cahier des Entretiens Albert-Kahn. All the Cahiers and podcasts are available online on this website.

Experiments and research-action projects are carried out with university, association and scientific partners on a variety of subjects.

All of these initiatives are aimed primarily at strengthening the capacity for anticipation and efficiency of the department's elected representatives and staff, even though the Entretiens Albert-Kahn now reach a national audience.
